Maria Elizabeth Macedo, September 16th, 1965- March 6th, 2023

Maria Elizabeth Macedo, beloved sister, Godmother, and aunt, was born September 16th, 1965, in Saint Louis, MO. She is preceded in death by her kind, loving, and faithful boyfriend and life long best friend, Scott Miller of Saint Louis, MO, her beloved parents: Ronald Dominic Macedo and Elisabeth Buchmann Macedo, her beloved Godmother: Anna Margaret Luth, her beloved paternal grandparents: Robert Sebastian Macedo and Louise Ann Mascarenhas Macedo of Goa India, and her beloved maternal grandparents: Josef Buchmann and Elisabeth Buchmann- Stirnimann of Luzern, Switzerland. Maria is survived by her sisters Indira Therese Macedo Dubsky and Monica Bernadette Macedo, her niece Gabriella Maria Dubsky, her niece and Godchild Christiana Elisabeth Dubsky, her nephew Joseph Daniel Dubsky, her niece Marie Thérèse Dubsky, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins around the world. From a very young age, Maria had an extremely high IQ, and a photographic memory. She was a star track and cross-country athlete at Rosary High School in St. Louis, MO. After her family moved to Urbana IL, she graduated from Urbana High School in 1983, and then attended Parkland College in Champaign, IL. Maria spent her life fulfilling her dream of creating magnificent artwork, and she has left a legacy of her beautiful paintings and intricate drawings. Maria was extremely generous towards her family and friends, and she was known to give gifts generously her whole life. Maria had a beautiful smile and a warm laugh, and she was always ready to crack jokes despite any medical problems she was facing. Maria had an unshakable Christian faith, and she loved to attend Mass and celebrate holidays and Holy Days with friends and relatives. She loved all types of music and had a beautiful singing voice. Maria was the very best, kindest, sweetest, most generous, and funniest Godmother, aunt, and sister, this world will ever know, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. On Monday March 6th, 2023, Heaven surely gained another angel named Maria Elizabeth Macedo. Visitation will be held Tuesday March 14, 2023 from 4-7pm at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 South Philo Road, Urbana IL and a Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday March 15, 2023 at 9am at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Urbana IL. Fresh floral, silk floral, and green plant memorials can be sent to Renner-Wikoff Chapel. Potted perennials, rosebushes, and garden statuary will be lovingly planted/placed in a memorial rose and flower garden in memory of Maria. St. Patrick Catholic Church will be live streaming Maria's Funeral Mass.
