Carolyn Elizabeth (Carrothers) Ruschmann

Carolyn Elizabeth  (Carrothers) Ruschmann, 83, of Thomasboro, formerly of 804 E. University Ave, Urbana, died at 8:59 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with visitation from noon until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Urbana.  A pot luck reception will be held at the American Legion Post 24, 705 Bloomington Rd., Champaign after the services at the cemetery.

Carolyn was born September 11, 1934 in Urbana, the daughter of Ivan Basil and Mary Elizabeth (Wilkins) Carrothers.  She is survived by a son, Marvin Andres (Dim) of Urbana, daughters, Kathy Loden (George) of Thomasboro and Cindy Ruschmann of Bloomington,  a sister, Rose Chapman (Rea) of Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her son, Carl Andres, brothers, David, Wayne and Jerry Carrothers, a sister, Elaine Owens, and 3 grandchildren.

Carolyn was a secretary for the Unit 4 Schools, Champaign for 46 years.  She loved country music and dancing.
