William A. Estergard, 73, of Savoy, passed on January 2, 2026.

Bill was born January 4, 1952 to Bob and Mary Estergard of Champaign. He graduated Centennial High School in 1970; studied at the U.of I. and Arizona State; and  graduated with a degree in Political Science. 

Bill is predeceased by his parents, Bob and Mary; sister Karen (Skip) and nephew Mike Ohl; and brothers Chuck and Jim.

He is survived by his children Adam; Ally Naugle (Clinton); Tara; and beloved grandchildren Marley and West Estergard; Luna, Ivy, Lottie and Isla Naugle; and Crew Keay; as well as brother John; sisters-in-law Pat and Patty; nieces, and great nieces and nephews.

Bill was a father, brother, Pepaw, Grandpa, Pa and friend. He was a friendly face to all; the first to crack a joke; and the last one at the end of the day to tell you how proud he was of you. 

He valued time with his family, a good hot sauce, Illinois football games, and occasional scotch. Above all, his faith in the Lord paved the way for his life.

A Celebration of Life is 4 - 8pm on Fri., Jan. 9 at the Illinois Conference Center behind the I Hotel (enter off of St. Mary's Road); with funeral at 1pm on Sat., Jan. 10 at Webber St. Church Urbana.  Pastor Hank Sanford will officiate.
