"William (Bill) Becker, 90, of Urbana passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at home.  He was born November 9, 1934, in Champaign, IL, the son of Carl and Helen (Courtney) Becker.  He married Marilyn Barber on September 21, 1958, in Forrest, IL.  She survives.
Also surviving are Bill's son, Bill Becker II of Homer, IL; his daughter, Jody Becker Wilkey of Urbana, IL; and his 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Terry; and his sister, Beverly Becker Scott.
He was a 1952 graduate of Urbana high School, and he went on to work at the University of Illinois as a storekeeper for 31 years.  He enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and spending time with family.
Visitation will be from 11am-1pm Friday, December 20, 2024, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, with the funeral immediately following at 1pm.  Hank Sanford will be officiating.  Memorials may be made to Champaign County Humane Society.  Condolences may be offered at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com"
