Thomas Henry Frichtl, 82, of Champaign, Illinois passed away at 8:11 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9 at his home.
Tom was born in Olney, Illinois on January 10,1941, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Rudolphi Frichtl.  He married Ann Thackeray on June 20, 1970 in Melvin Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; brothers-John Anthony Frichtl and Paul Frichtl; sisters-Patricia Kaus, Barbara Klein, Marie Ann Frichtl and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; brother-William; sisters-Christine Frichtl, Joann Frichtl and Mary Frichtl. 
After graduating from high school, Tom attended Marquette University and received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He then enlisted in the U. S. Army in December, 1964, serving in South Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1966 at the rank of Sergeant E-5. He also attended the University of Illinois, receiving a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master’s degree in Architecture.  Tom worked for English Brothers as an estimator until retirement in 2005.
