Terry Collins, 72, of Urbana Il passed away June 10th with family by his side. Terry was born in Urbana on April 25th, 1951 son of Hubert and Wanda (Slade) Collins. He married Julia Hull August 1st 1968. Terry and Julie had 3 daughters, Tammy (Rod) Robertson of Muncie, Sandra Pierson of Urbana, Melinda Cable of Ogden, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grand daughters. They all survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 siblings Janet, Hubert, and Dennis Collins. 2 son-in-laws, David Pierson and Tim Cable. His life was filled with hard work, dedication, and love. Love for his family, especially his great grand babies and fur baby Misty were his most important. His special silly names and made up songs for them were enjoyed by all. He was a long time member of Labor Local #703 and was an active retiree. Prior to that he was with J.M. Jones Freezeway, and Bakers Dozen. Terry enjoyed the volunteer work he did for Camp Drake, Ambucs Park and especially the hand prints at Target or wherever he was needed. Woodworking, cooking, camping, boating, fishing, and casinos with family and friends were his favorite pastimes. Memories of his hardwork and love will remain with us always. Visitation will be held Sunday June 18th from 6-8pm and funeral services will be Monday June 19th at 10am at Renner Wikoff Urbana Il. Memorials may be made to the following: American Cancer Society, Foundation for Fighting Blindness or American Heart Association.
