Ruth C Hildreth, 85, Mahomet, IL passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born in Gary, IN October 7, 1939 a daughter of late Arthur and Hazel Putnam of Siloam Springs, AR

She retired from The University of Illinois International Facility and Staff Affairs Department in 1998. She was very active with Senior Saints and volunteered her time at the Mercy Hospital resale store. She was a member of CU Church.  She called the Champaign-Urbana area and especially Mahomet, IL home since moving there when she was 15 with her mother, Hazel, after the passing of her father, Arthur, in 1953. Up until her passing away, she was living in Easley, SC with her daughter, Janet Anderson and her son-in-law Mike.

Ruth is survived and missed by her son, David Hildreth, daughter-in-law Tammie of Paducah, KY, their four children; Tallon Hildreth of Farmer City, IL, Trenor Hildreth of Lola, KY, Teanna Painter of Fithian, IL, Trusdin Hildreth of Paducah, KY and four great grandchildren. Ruth is also survived and missed by her daughter, Janet Anderson,  son-in-law Mike of Easley, SC, their two children; Kristy Pinatiello of Richmond Hill, GA and Chris (Mugs) of Mt Washington, KY and four great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2pm July 2nd  at Renner & Wikoff 1900 South Philo Road Urbana, IL. Pastor Tim Barber will officiate.

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association.
