Ronald E. Wingler, 70, of Urbana, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Carle Foundation in Urbana.

Born on September 22, 1953, in Urbana, Illinois, the son of John and Phyllis (Schoonover) Wingler.

Ron is survived by his son, Randall Wingler of Urbana, and daughter, Christie (Jeff) Holland of Dewey. He was a proud grandfather to Mackenzie Wingler of Indiana, Emily Holland of Dewey, Melissa Wingler of Urbana, Kaitlyn Holland of Dewey, Blake Wingler of Urbana, and Jacob Holland of Dewey. He is also survived by his brother, John (Nancy) Wingler of Lancaster, TX; sisters - Brenda (Steve) Hester and Linda Wingler both of Urbana, IL, Laura (Kevin) Potts of Rantoul, IL, Nancy (Chris) Grob of Huntingdon, TN.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Ronald Wingler Jr. Ron was a graduate of Urbana High School class of 1971. Ron had a passion for collecting everything Pepsi-related, coins, and sports cards. He treasured spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
