Ronald R. Mahannah, 80 of St. Joseph passed away at 3:02 a.m. Saturday March 18, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.  He was born August 25, 1942 in Urbana, the son of Roy and Ruth Mahannah.  He married Charlotte Haile on April 3, 1992 and gained three bonus daughters, Debbie Martinez of Champaign, DeAnna Shane (Don) of St. Joseph and Kim Thurman (Robert) of St. Joseph. Charlotte preceded him in death April 8, 2016.

In addition to his bonus daughters and their spouses, Ron is survived by his daughters, Claire Suter (Brad), Celeste Quinn (Robin) and Collette Lee (Jon) of South Carolina, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Ron retired from Goodwill Publishing where he was a Graphic Artist, that he enjoyed for many years. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Champaign and a veteran of the U.S. Army, 54th Infantry Sgt.

Ron enjoyed reading, spending time with his family and friends and making everyone around him laugh.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday March 24 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL 61802.  Pastor Steve Brady will officiate.  Private Committal service will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
