Rocky R. Phillippe, 76, of Mahomet passed away at 3:43 a.m. on September 29, 2024, at Carle
Foundation, Urbana. He was born on December 4, 1947, in Urbana, IL the son of James &
Betty (Raynor) Phillippe. Rocky married Lilma (Ross) Phillippe in Urbana, Illinois on August 9,
1969.
Rocky is survived by his daughters- Nicole (Michael) Eichelberger of Paxton, Kimberly (Mike)
Hilderbrandt of Mahomet; Grandchildren-Sydney Eichelberger, Collin Vincent, Graci Vincent,
And sister Nancy Stunkard of Tolono. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lilma,
brothers-Terry Phillippe, Jimmy Phillippe, and sister- Vicky Price. Rocky worked for Sunbeam Bakery in
Champaign for over 23 years while also serving as union steward prior to its closing. He then
worked at Conair in Rantoul until retirement. Rocky was an avid Cubs and Illini Fan and
collected all things Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel,
