Robert John Salika, 74, of Monticello, passed away at 7:17 PM, Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 708 W. Main St., Urbana. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana.

Robert was born on March 23, 1950 in Chicago, IL, a son of Eugene Francis and Margaret Josephine (Hussbauer) Salika. Survivors include two sisters, Lucille Marie Salika of Urbana,
and Catherine Irene Salika, also of Urbana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leonard Eugene Salika.

Robert worked as a machinist, as well as in maintenance for many years. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a member of the National Speleological Society.
