Robert “Chopper” Smith, 75, passed away at 8:53 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022 in Savoy. He was born on December 31, 1946 in Champaign, Illinois the son of Gerald & Marie (Cobb) Smith. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and a great nephew, all of whom he loved dearly. Robert was a racing enthusiast, particularly sprint & stock cars, touring the country with various teams.
