Ricky Dale Boley 67 of Fairmount went to be with Lord and family on May 26 2023 at Carle hospital.
There will be a celebration of life on July 29th what would have been him and his wives 46th anniversary.
Rick was born November 13th 1955 to Howard “Sonny” and Ruth Cooper Boley. Rick was happily married to Cheryl “Shandrow” Boley on July 29th 1977. She sadly proceeded him in death on December 15th 2019. He is survived by his father, Howard "Sonny" Boley(Annie) of Urbana, IL and they had one beautiful daughter Leveda Boley of Fairmount, three grandchildren Cassie and Damian Bunner both of Fairmount and Zander, along with the future son in law Keith Harrison. Also surviving is his sister Linda Kuhn of Rantoul and the two brother John Boley of Urbana and William “Freddy” Boley of Danville. There are also the nieces and nephew James Esposito, Amanda Esposito Good, Cheryl Shonkwiler, and Brandon “Bailey” Boley. Let’s not also forget all the many great nieces and nephews on top of great great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his two spry but elderly dogs Halo and Bosco. Rick was proceeded in death by his mother, sister Susan Hill, and brother in law James Kuhn.
In Rick’s younger years he loved riding his horse Trigger and playing in his great grandfather’s farm with his sisters and the neighborhood children. Rick loved playing Euchre and other card games with his family and friends. He also enjoyed many great games of horseshoes with his Dad and his close friend Jim as well as many many others. He loved to have amazing fires in the backyard with friends and family while having a couple beers and never forgetting that country music. Rick loves watching wrestling with his daughter Leveda, brother Freddy, and nephew James. Rick worked 45 years as a maintenance man.
He will also be missed greatly by his best friends Kenneth “Ken” White and Jim Haaksma. Rick had touched the lives of so many and was always a person people could rely on he will be greatly missed and always remembered.
