Richard A. Webb, 78, of Urbana and formerly from Tolono passed away at 3:40 am on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on May 20, 1945 in Urbana, Illinois the son of Elbert & Anna (Meyer) Webb. He married Ellen Coon on October 20, 1973 in Loda, Illinois. Richard is survived by his wife- Ellen; sons- Robert (Bobbie) Webb of Tolono, Ilinois and Donald (Allison) Webb  of Cambridge, Minnesota; 2 grandsons- Hunter, Killian; 2 granddaughters- Ivey, Autumn; sister- Sheila Kay Deater of Missouri. He is preceded by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Richard graduated from Tolono High School in 1963  and enlisted in the Navy on June 15, 1964. He is a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star. After his military service he worked for 32 years for the University of Illinois in Building Services. Richard enjoyed his morning cup of Dunkin Donut coffee and was a collector of M & M dispensers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11 from 1-2:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, Illinois, 61802. Military Rites will be accorded by VFW 5520 at the funeral home.
