Reita Elaine Dalton 73, of Broadlands passed away at 2:17 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Tuscola Health Care Center. She was born on April 10, 1951 in Martinsville, Indiana the daughter of Russell & Betty Jane (Wilson) Lorentz. She married Tommie Ray Dalton on June 22 1997 in Urbana, IL. Reita is survived by her husband Tommie; daughter- Jennifer Sanchez of Broadlands, IL; stepdaughter- Kimberly Shaw of St. Joseph, IL; stepson-Matthew Dalton of TN; Grandchildren- Joellyn and Jeannette Sanchez of McAllen TX, Alexandra Esposito of Davenport Iowa, Jazmine Skinner, Devilen Zeanah and Zachariah Zeanah of Broadlands; 3 Great Grandchildren: sibling-Roy Lorentz of McAllen TX. She is preceded in death by her parents. Reita graduated from Mahomet Seymour High School in 1965 and Parkland College, where she studied business. She worked for the University of Illinois Psychology Department in Inventory Control until she retired in 2007. Reita also worked at Meijers for several years. She enjoyed going to Disney World every chance she could and riding Rollercoaster. The family will be holding a celebration of life service at a later date.
