Philip A. Phillips

Philip A. Phillips, 97, of Urbana passed away at 8:55 p.m. October 28, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 22, 1928, the son of Arthur and Lula Lang Phillips. Phillips. He married Barbara Sperry on March 20, 1955, in Urbana.

Philip is survived by a daughter, Tracey (Larry) Jacquneaux of Urbana, and a son, Rand Phillips of Urbana.  Two grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren also survive.

He is preceded by his parents and wife, Barbara.

Philip enlisted in the Army after high school and was a Korean War veteran. Philip farmed for over 70 years. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and flying airplanes.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL 61802. Hank Sanford will be officiating. Burial at Mt Olive Cemetery, Mayview, IL. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 634. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
