Paul Edwin Felkner Jr, 78 of Champaign, passed away Monday November 10, 2025 in his home.  Paul was born January 7, 1947 in Urbana, the beloved son of Paul Edwin Sr and Dorothy Faye (Hendricks) Felkner, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his brother Ronnie (Susuan) Felkner of St. Joseph, IL and his sister Linda  (Jim) Slaughter of Ellington, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Lois Reskey, Rosemary (Floyd) Fisher, Patty Harris, Connie (Dave) Symmonds and Donna Grob.

Paul married Marcia Kay Schurg on March 15th, 1969 and they were happily married for 56 years. They had two children Kenny (Kay) Felkner of Anderson, Indiana and Allison (Dustin) Dingledine of Washington, Illinois. Paul is survived by his wife Marcia and his 2 children, Kenny and Allison.

They have 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Paul honorably served his country in the United States Navy, where he developed the discipline and sense of duty that guided him throughout his life. After his service, Paul became a proud member of the Laborer's Local 703, where he worked for many years before retiring. Paul then became a

 maintenance worker at Cunningham Children’s Home in Urbana and retired in 2012.

Paul enjoyed fishing, country music, cards, working on projects in his home, spending time with his family and his lifelong love for the Chicago Cubs- a true and loyal fan through every season-watching every game from the comfort of his recliner.

Paul will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew them.

A private memorial service will be held in memory of Paul with a celebration of life to come in the spring.
