Nancy L. Compton Miller Obituary
Nancy L. Compton Miller, widow of Kenneth L. Miller, passed from this life into eternal rest to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 25, 2025. Nancy entered the world February 16, 1936, and her mother passed away soon after; Nancy anticipated their reunion her entire life.
A devoted mother of four, Nancy is survived by three of her children: Mary Jo; Joseph (Carol) Dean of Florence, MT; and Ted (Willow) Myhre of Sadorus, IL; and her only sibling, dearest sister Phyllis (Bill) Gray of TN, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She never knew a stranger and if she knew you, it's likely she prayed for you.
Nancy’s legacy lives on through a loving and large family, numbering more than 70, including children/spouses, grandchildren/spouses, great-grandchildren/spouses, and great-great-grandchildren.
Nancy was a woman of deep faith. Death held no fear because she knew: to be absent in body is to be present with the Lord. Nancy's earthly parting satisfied her longing to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, beloved daughter Julie (John) Beery, precious infant grandchildren, and cherished parents, Roscoe and Mary Thelma Knight Compton.
Nancy will be laid to rest at V.A. National Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held at Stratford Park Bible Church, Champaign, Illinois, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
