RANTOUL, IL- Mieko Ryckman-Hanada, 92, of Rantoul, died at 5:59 AM, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Mieko was born in Tainaun Formosa on May 29, 1928. She owned and operated Ginza in Champaign for many years. Survivors include her children, Bruce Ryckman, Kim(Laura) Ryckman, Emi and Pauli Carman and Gerard Kelley. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jade Ryckman, Benjamin Ryckman and Nathaniel Ryckman. Preceded in death by her daughters Sonya Ryckman and Sandra Kelley.

Mom, you were everyone’s Mom in Champaign-Urbana. You were Ginza Mom. We will love you forever and ever.
