URBANA, IL-  Michael D. Fett, 74, of Urbana, passed away at 3:39 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 10, 2025 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Philo, IL with visitation one hour prior at the church.  Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.  Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Rd., Urbana, is in charge of arrangements.

Michael was born June 25, 1951 in Lima, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Jennie(Ramsey) Fett.  He married Wanda Lee Warren on September 14, 1998 in Eureka Springs, MO.  She survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Heather Fett of Phoenix, AZ, a son, Michael Allen Fett of Phoenix, AZ and three siblings, Nancy Karr of Cleveland,OH, Thomas Fett of Cleveland, OH and Patrick Fett of Newark, Delaware; Stepdaughters, Julie Rankin of Hobart, IN, Tamela Thompson of Champaign, Bridget Blackburn of Terre Haute, IN, seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 

Michael graduated from Eastern Illinois University and was Master Sergeant and Meteorologist with the United States Air Force at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul for 20 years.  He was a former member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Philo, IL and a member of Knights of Columbus and the NRA.
