Marilyn Becker Obituary

Marilyn Ruth (Barber) Becker, 87, passed away at home on Friday, April 17, 2026, with family by her side. She was born February 24, 1939, in Fairbury, Illinois, the daughter of John Lemoine and Marcia Ruth (FitzHenry) Barber.


She married William (Bill) Becker on September 21, 1958, in Forrest, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2024, after 66 years of marriage.


Surviving is her son, Bill (Marla) Becker II of Homer, Illinois; her daughter, Jody (Randy) Wilkey of Urbana, Illinois; along with her 7 grandchildren and their spouses; and 17 great-grandchildren.surviving sisters are Joyce Lesher and Gail Sue (Marlene Davis) Barber


Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; her infant son, Terry; and her sister, Jacque Pasko.


Marilyn spent the majority of her life caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, a role that brought her immense joy. She continued babysitting her great-grandchildren until the last few years of her life. She also ran a successful hair salon out of her home for over 36 years, where she touched the lives of countless individuals. Marilyn had a strong love for her family and faith, and she enjoyed playing card games and anything purple.


Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL 61802.
