BLOOMINGTON, IL-  Linda Kay Ryan, 80, of Bloomington, IL and formerly of Champaign, IL, passed away at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the McLean County Nursing Home in Normal, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana, IL.  There will be no public visitation.  Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Rd., Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Linda was born August 10, 1943 in Champaign, IL, a daughter of Charles Gilbert Long, Sr. and Hazel Mae Withers.  She married Phillip L. Ryan on November 5, 1966 in Urbana.  He preceded her in death on June 19, 2012.  Survivors include a daughter, Shannon Michelle Curtin of Rantoul, a grandson, Ryan Curtin of Bloomington, IL and a brother, Lester Glenn “Doc” Roberts, Jr. of Springfield, MO. 

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother,  Charles Gilbert Long, Jr.

Linda worked for over 25 years as a supply manager for the University of Illinois.  She attended St. Patrick’s Church in Urbana and enjoyed needle point and NASCAR.
