URBANA, IL- Kenneth R. Deaville, Jr., 77, of Urbana, passed away at 4:05 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Kenneth was born November 23, 1947, a son of Kenneth Sr. and Friday Deaville. He married Jo Ann Peterson on January 13, 1968, in Champaign. She preceded him in death in 2019. There will be a memorial visitation from 6-8PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the RennerWikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his brothers Tim and Don Deaville. Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Deaville of St. Joseph, IL, Scott Deaville (Teresa) of Fairmount, IL and two daughters, Kimberly Deaville of Lexington, N.C. and Angela Lusk (Travis) of Urbana, IL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Kenneth graduated from Champaign Central High School and was a proud United States Navy veteran. He worked as a blacksmith for Clifford & Jacobs for 42 years. Kenneth was also the Mall Santa at Lincoln Square Mall and Marketplace Mall for many years and loved to spread Christmas joy to children in Champaign County. He also attended First Christian Church in Champaign. Kenneth was a naturally funny man that loved to share numerous stories from his eventful and happy life. Kenneth loved going bowling and playing softball. He also loved fishing at Homer Lake with his dear family and taught his grandchildren how to fish. He also loved anything cars with his favorite car being a 1957 Chevrolet. His surviving family is sure he’s riding that ‘57 Chevy in Heaven with his beloved wife and many dogs the couple had together over the years. Memorials may be made to Toys For Tots.
