Julie D. Moreland, 55 of Champaign, died August 29, 2024 at Carle Hospital after a short bought of infection.  Julie Diana Moreland was born November 19, 1968, in Champaign, the daughter of George Moreland and Alice Ann Gorden.  She attended Urbana High School and volunteered at the University of Illinois Library and Peter Pan Daycare.

Julie was a gift to many.  Her infectious laughter, sense of humor, and ability to know the punchline to any joke or good story before it was said, will forever be missed.  Julie loved cats, family, friends, her brother, and parties.

As a special soul confined to a body with limited mobility, she taught others so much.  Ultimately, her strength gave those she knew the strength to carry on.

Those surviving are her mother, Alice Daugherty, brother, Michael Moreland, Madison, WI, special friend Dr. Samuel-Parks, and extended adoring family.  Welcoming her to heaven include her dad, George Moreland, step-dad, Norman Stenzel, grandma, Dorothy Moreland, grandma, Martha Gorden, aunts Lynn Rounds and Betty Weis, and many loved pets.
