On December 28,2023 Judith Ann (Judy) King, 82, of Champaign, Il passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a nearly 5 yr battle with dementia at Country Healthcare, Gifford, Il and went to meet the lord, and her family and friends who passed before her.

Judy was born August 25, 1941 in Tuscola, Il to Charles and Geneva Kruse Davis. As A loving mother she is survived by her children Brenda Wright - Rockamann, St. Joseph,Il Sheri (Merle) Thomas-Wilson, Rantoul,Il, Wren (Rhonda) Thomas, SIdney,Il, and Kari ( Randy) Richards - Tiffey, Creal Springs.,Il.  Step Children Tamy Henry-O’Connor, Sidney, Il and Kenny (Mindy) Henry, Villa Grove, Il. A proud grandmother, Judy loved the fact that she had 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren with one on the way, 5 great-great grandchildren with one on the way.  Also surviving are her brothers Danny ( Nancy ) Davis, and Charles (Karla) Davis, step siblings Lynn (Mike) Cain, Carol (JR) Burns, and Monty Gillaspie. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Weber, niece Catherine Collins ,great nephew Tyrell Trotter, step father Wes Gillaspie and step brother Jimmy Gillaspie In her early years Judy was a homemaker. She then began her career at Chanute Air Force Base Cable TV office and then as the office manager at the CAFB Housing Maintenance office until the closure of Chanute. She then went to work in the office of WIllow Springs Condominiums in Urbana, Il. Lastly, she retired to devote her life to being a full time caregiver and companion to her mother in the last years of her life. Judy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, baking, crafts, and jewelry making. Her pride and joy was her spoiled dog Molly.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, IL 61801. visitation will be held from 9-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Hank Sanford will be officiating. Burial at Grandview Memorial Garden, Champaign, IL. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association, The American Kidney Fund or The Humane Society.
