Janet E. Langendorf, 71, of Urbana passed away at 9:54 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living. Janet was born on May 29, 1952 in Champaign, IL the daughter of Carl & Dorothy (Edwards)Pittman. She married Richard Langendorf on May 3, 1980 in Champaign, Illinois. She is survived by her husband, Richard, son; Nicholas Langendorf; brothers-Steven, Timothy and Michael and many  other loved ones from the Pittman and Langendorf families. Janet is preceded by her parents. She worked as a secretary and office manager for over 50 years for the ROTC and the University of Illinois. She enjoyed gardening and having fun with friends and dancing. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Road, Urbana. Visitation will be from 11-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Harold Wiggam will be officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mayview, IL.
