James A. Hennis, 72, of Urbana passed away on at 3:33 a.m. on July 1, 2023 at C-U Nursing & Rehabilitation in Savoy. He was born in Champaign, IL on November 29, 1950 the son of Arthur Ralph & Louella Mae (Loeschen) Hennis. He married Karen Bosshart in 1979 and they have been together as a couple for over 45 years. James is survived by his wife- Karen; son-James (Mary) Hennis of Tuscola; granddaughters- Brooke & Kendra; sister- Dixie (Hennis) Shirley; his special kitty- Filbert.  He is preceded by his parents. James worked in trucking for Anderson Transportation for 5 years and other trucking services as well as construction.
