Helen Reilly Richards Obituary
Helen Reilly Richards, 86, passed away Wednesday 20 September at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Helen was born to Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Reilly in Vicksburg MS.
She attended Milsaps College in Jackson MS and Louisiana State University for her Graduate degree. She worked as an Electron Microscope Technician at the University of Illinois, and as an Anatomy and Physiology professor at Parkland College. An avid bridge player and crossword puzzle specialist, Helen loved to entertain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepdaughter Deborah Paris, a grand-daughter Samantha Curry, and is survived by her Husband of 44 years, Daniel Richards, her daughter Katherine O'Brien (Robert), her son David Sandberg (Kitty), her stepson Ken Richards (Donna), stepson Thomas Richards (Camille), six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for the end of October.
