Frances W. McCracken, 85, of Urbana passed away on April 27, 2026, at Carle Foundation Hospital.                                           

  She was born on January 24, 1941, in Jefferson City, MO the daughter of Dallas & Winefred (Miller) Hines. She married James McCracken in Pontiac IL on May 15,1959.                           

 Frances is survived by her sons; James (Hedi) McCracken of Tolono IL. Jeff (Tiffany) of Urbana IL, John (Penny) McCracken of Homer IL, Patrick (Sherry) McCracken of Vanceboro NC, Daughters; Christina (Jeff) Headley of Rantoul IL, Pennie (Bart) Speckman of St. Joe IL, Pamela (Bill) Coleman of Camden, TN; 40 Grandchildren, 79 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great- Great Grandchildren.

 She is Preceded by in death by her parents, husband James, and Granddaughters Kristin & Brittney, her brothers John, Bud, and sisters Helen, Irene, Dotty and Trudy.                           

 Frances was a Machinist at Kraft Foods for 29 years.  She enjoyed Quilting, sewing, gardening, and spending time with the family.

 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Renner-Wikoff Chapel. Hank Sanford will be officiating. Visitation from 11-12:00 at the funeral home.
