Deborah Ann Blan Obituary

Deborah Ann Blan of Urbana passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at age 60. Beloved wife of Robert A. Blan, they were married April 23, 1983 in Champaign. Born August 8, 1963, Debbie was the cherished daughter of Ralph Joseph and Mae Ann (Palmer) Cox. Debbie was proceeded in passing by her father Ralph Cox in 1996.

Deborah is survived by her husband Robert A. Blan of Urbana, a daughter, Ashley K. Blan Reinhart (David) of Homer a son, Robbie J. Blan (Elizabeth), both of Homer, her mother, Mae Ann Cox of Urbana and a sister, Sandra Cox of St. Louis, MO. Her grandchildren include Dylan, Noah, Gavyn, Maddox, Jax, Ryker, Tobias and Aries Reinhart, Victoria and Liam Blan and a great grandson Atticus Reinhart (Gavyn’s son).

Deborah graduated from Urbana High School in 1981 and Parkland College.  She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Savoy and worked for several retail stores at Market Place Mall as manager. She later worked at OSF Sacred Heart of Mary Medical Center, Urbana as a surgical technologist for 25 years.  Debbie devoted herself to her family. She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren. She also decorated at weddings, birthdays and other parties.  She will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 20 at Cornerstone Church, 702 E. Church St., Savoy with visitation from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church and service to follow.

Donations to the Diabetes Foundation and Alabama State Park Association can be made at the services.
