Christopher Lynn Ruggles, 53, of Savoy, IL, passed away suddenly on November 27th, 2022 at his home.

Chris was born on March 18, 1969 to Phyllis “Billie” Ruggles in Champaign, IL.

Chris was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Chris’ family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Chris was unendingly proud of Amber and his granddaughters and always tried his best to support them. 

Chris was also passionate about music and model cars and could often be found playing his guitar or listening to his records. 

Anyone who knew Chris knew that he was the most loving father and grandfather a family could ask for. Chris was predeceased by his mother, Phyllis “Billie” Ruggles. Chris is survived by his brothers Paul “Buddy” Raney (Marsha), Curtis Ruggles (Sally), Tom Ruggles, Terry Ruggles, Jeff Reinhold (Brenda), John Thompson (Jennifer), his daughter Amber Barnett (Jerry), his granddaughters DeAva (15), Callie (11), Scarlett (6), and Ellie (2 months), and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Chris is also survived by his son Sam Coddington (Heather), and grandsons Emmett (2) and Elliott (5 month), who he was very proud of and so grateful to reconnect with over the recent years.
