Cathleen L. Burkholder, 71, of Champaign passed away at 8:43 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. She was born May 26, 1952 in Urbana, Illinois the daughter of Harold & Patricia (Motherway) Clements. She married William Burkholder on July 3, 1971 in Mahomet, IL. Cathleen is survived by her husband, William; sons- Robert (Loretta) Burkholder of Champaign and Michael (Stacy) Burkholder of South Carolina; Grandchildren- Michael Dobbins of Indianapolis, IN, Brandon Burkholder, South Carolina; brothers- David (Cindy) Clements of Bloomington, IL, Bill Clements & Daniel Clements both of Tuscola, IL; sister- Mary (Mike) Reise of Champaign. She is preceded in death by her parents. Cathleen graduated from Centennial High School in 1971. She worked as a nail technician for many years. She enjoyed hunting, camping, working on cars and autocross. She was a trailblazer in autocross for woman. Cathleen had numerous awards.
