Carla Lyons Obituary

ARCOLA, IL-  Carla Jean Lyons, 59, of Arcola, IL passed away at 3:59 PM, Sunday, June 6, 2021, at her residence.

Per her request, there will no public visitation or funeral.  Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carla was born September 26, 1961, in Springfield, IL, a daughter of Robert Lee and Beverly Joan(Vivian) Sepesy.  Survivors include her husband, Charles Lyons of Arcola, IL;  two sons, Gabriel Walls of Mahomet, IL, Jeffrey Ensign, Jr. of Monticello, IL and a daughter, Amber Staton of Clinton, IL.  Also surviving are step daughters, Shannon Stillabower of Champaign, and Kristi Hart of Mahomet; 17 grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a step son, Shane, two sisters Cathy and Chris,  a grandson, Dustin Michael, and three fur babies, Katie, Casper, and Haven.

Carla Was a hard worker with a huge heart. She went to school for her nursing degree because she knew she was put on this earth to help others. She had a purpose and she fulfilled it without skipping a beat. Before her health problems kicked in, she finished her employment as a telephone operator for Cingular wireless. When she could no longer work a full-time job, she was a full-time wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She loved drawing, doing arts and crafts, word and number puzzles and anything that could keep her mind busy. She was a researcher. If you needed or wanted to know anything, she was the one you called. She always put everyone before herself. If you were ok then she was ok. She was one of the strongest people you would have ever known. She was a fighter. When the doctors gave her six months to live, she fought for 18 more years. They called her their miracle. That's exactly what she was, a miracle. If Carla were still here today, she'd want you to remember two things. One, tomorrow is never promised so Be thankful for all you have, love hard with everything you are, and find blessings in everything you see. And last, remember the secret.

If Anyone would like to send donations in her honor, we believe that she would want donations to go  to the American heart association or towards diabetes research.
