Elizabeth Anne Moss “Betty Anne”, 71 of Champaign, formerly of Mahomet passed away Monday August 5, 2024.  She was born February 19, 1953 in Champaign, the daughter of Dr. Charles Taylor and Mary Frances (Branyan) Moss, Jr. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nancy Lee Moss, Denver CO and her long-time partner and soulmate, David Dreyer, Mahomet IL both in 2008.

Betty Anne graduated from Champaign Central High School.  She went on to acquire her nursing degree. She retired as a registered nurse from the Carle Clinic Pediatric Department and the Neonatal ICU at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

She loved all animals including horses, dogs and cats. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, music and pottery.  She and David enjoyed hunting and fishing and owning horses together. She also loved traveling to New Orleans, Door County, Wisconsin and Gulf Shores, Alabama with her family, David and friends.              

Betty Anne was very caring and a wonderful friend and cousin.  She will be missed and never forgotten.  She was also an adoring “Auntie” to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 10 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 Philo Rd., Urbana with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Pastor Mike Smith will officiate.  Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana.
