Barbara Jean Bright, 94, passed away at 6:37 p.m. on July 15, 2025, at her home

surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 2, 1931, in Urbana, IL the daughter of Arthur & Hazel (Shore) Eskew. She married Charles (Bob) Bright July 7, 1951, in Long Beach, California, and

they enjoyed 66 years together. Survivors include her three sons, James Bright of Mahomet, Chuck Bright (Janet) of Champaign, and Mitchell Bright of Champaign, IL; 5 grandchildren, Laura (Jake) Collier, Andrew (Cassondra) Bright, Michael Bright, Ashley Bright and Patrick Bright; three great-grandchildren, Joselyn Kiper, Jaxon Bright and Ryder Collier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles; sister Loretta June Deem and brothers Ronald and Randy Eskew.

Barbara Bright was a graduate of Urbana High School. She worked at Bergners Department Store in the housewares department until her retirement. Her biggest

joys in life were her family, especially her grandchildren.

Private family service at Camp Butler National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered
