Obituary

Ruth “Ann” Delporte, 70, of Champaign passed away at 12:12 a.m. on March 31, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 5, 1952 in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of Chester & Mary Lorene (Eubanks) Riddell. Ann is survived by her sons, Damian Delporte of College Station, Texas, and Lyncoln (Toni) Delporte of Champaign, Illinois; her brothers - Dan Riddell of Champaign, Illinois; and Mark David Riddell of Vancouver, Washington; and sister - Heidi Rosario of Grayslake, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister - Marylou Standford. Ann attended Urbana High School and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1970. She received a degree in dental hygiene from Parkland College in 1973. Ann enjoyed Christian music, drawing, poetry, and chocolate. She loved birds, especially her two pet cockatiels (Coconut & Miko). Ann will be most remembered for her kind heart and generosity. She was loved and will be missed. The family will hold a memorial service on June 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Champaign Church of Christ located at 1509 W.
