Memorial services for Zoltan Ujhelyi will be held on Saturday, March 12, 11 am, at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana. Chaplain Anthony Crouch with the Carle Home Care Services will officiate.

Zoltan, 85, died peacefully at his home in Champaign, IL, on February 13, 2016. He was born in Hungary on June 13, 1930, and moved to the United States in 1956 with his wife, Elizabeth. Zoltan was a kind, gentle, and knowledgeable man who served as the director of the TV Studio in the College of Education at the University of Illinois for over 35 years. In total, Zoltan worked at the U of I for 50 years. He received an Engineering degree specializing in electronics from Parkland College during his tenure at the U of I.

Zoltan is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth, his daughter, Betty Ujhelyi (Urbana), and a sister, Susan Gabriel (Urbana). Preceding him in death were his parents, Szilard Ujhelyi and Ilona Edenburg (Hungary), and a brother, Laszlo Ujhelyi (Germany).

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the College of Education at the University of Illinois.
