Obituary

Zoe Ann Rose Cook 84, of Urbana died at 1:03 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; the Rev. Lee Galbreth will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cook was born on March 1, 1923 in Urbana, the daughter of Clyde Thompson and Myrtle Wise Thompson Lundeen. She married Elmer W. Cook on March 16, 1941 in Maplewood, Missouri, he survives.

Also surviving are one son: David Perry Cook of St. Joseph, two daughters; Carleen Marea Flanagan of Fort Worth, Texas and Cecelea Ann Martinez of Garland, Texas, one brother; Irwin Thompson of Urbana, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Mrs. Cook was a retired supervisor at Target.

She was a member of Pennsylvania Ave. Baptist Church, Urbana, 47 year member and Past President of Veteran's of Foreign War Post 630 Auxiliary, Urbana, Past President of the 7th District of Illinois Auxiliary VFW, Past President of Machinist and Aero-Space Worker's Union, Life member of Women of the Moose, member of the Urbana Park District Senior Citizens Club.

Mrs. Cook was a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader at Wiley school for many years.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Ave. Baptist Church.
