Zada Jean Hopkins 80 of Champaign died at 6:31 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; the Rev. David Ashby will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene J. Hopkins. They were married May 24, 1956. Also one brother; Harold Campbell, two sisters; Mary Schmitz and Eunice Cotton and two step sons; Ed Hopkins and Tom Hopkins.

Surviving are her children Guy Duckworth of Okmulgee, OK, Deborah Martin and Doris Bauer both of Champaign and Jon Duckworth of Tolono, one step daughter; Kay Stipp of Sidney and one sister; Pat Ferguson of Alsip.

She had ten grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

She graduated from Newman Township High School in 1948 and retired from the University of Illinois in 1998.
