URBANA, IL- Willie " The Night Crawler" Jackson, 70, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 5:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M., Friday evening (Aug. 31) at the funeral home.

Willie was born September 14, 1941 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, a son of Tommie Jackson and Essie (Thompson) Shepherd. He was baptized at an early age and he later married Rhonda Seten on October 9, 1987 in Urbana. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Jackie Kelley of Milwaukee, WI, Summer Jackson of Dupo, IL, and Alayna Jackson of Urbana; Step-children: Adela Kendrick (Jeff) of Champaign, IL, Marie Lipscomb, Reuben Martinez, and Cynthia Martinez, all of Detroit, Michigan, and Jimmie and Johnnie McDivitt; Three brothers: David Jackson (Carolyn) of Memphis, TN, Truman (Mary) Jackson of Milwaukee, WI, and Harry Jackson (Brenda) of Atlanta, GA. A sister, Gloria Robertson (Percy) of Milwakee, WI also survives; Four grandchildren: Dwight and Derrick Kelley, Kylie Jackson, Quinton Willie Jackson and a host of step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a brother and a sister.

Willie worked as a laborer for University Construction for many years and he also worked at the Clinton Power Plant. He was a member of Laborers Local 703 for 50 years and Urbana American Legion Post 71.
