William B. Perry, 88, of Urbana passed away at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Helia Healthcare in Champaign.

A graveside service at Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe, IL will be held at a later date.

Bill was born in Rienzi, Mississippi on March 1, 1929 to parents Richard and Lizzie (Boggs) Perry, they preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his son William David Perry and three brothers.

On June 7, 1948 he married Joyce Massengill in Corinth, MS, she survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Ann Richter (Mark) of St. Joseph, two granddaughters; Carley Perry and Hanna Richter and his brother Paul Perry (Peggy) of Corinth MS.

Bill served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning home he worked as a machine operator for Caterpillar, retiring after thirty-one years.
