URBANA, IL- William H. "Bill" Ohms, 85, of Urbana, Illinois passed away at 11:55 A.M., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 2200 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Wednesday morning at the church. Burial will be private. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bill was born November 2, 1929 in Champaign, IL, a son of William H. and Molly Amolia (Lange) Ohms. He married Muryl J. Williams on April 26, 1983 in Urbana. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Leslie K. McDonald of Tolono, IL, a granddaughter, Stephanie Lampley and two great grandchildren, Sydney and Gretchen Lampley.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wilbur R. Ohms, and three sisters, Margaret Fruhling, Eleanor James, and Dorothy Fulfer.

Bill formerly worked for Bongarts Pharmacy for 18 years, and was a tavern owner in Villa Grove, Illinois for seven years. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer after 26 years. Bill was also a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Urbana.
