William Nickelson 62 of Urbana died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, Pastor Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Nickelson was born on March 27, 1947 in Urbana; the son of Thomas and Mary Ann Mann Nickelson, he married Jacinta (Jaci) Cedusky on December 12, 1965 in Peoria, she survives.

Also surviving are one son; James Dale Nickelson of Homer, one daughter; Cynthia Ann Ruwe of Fairmount and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson; William John Thomas and one sister.

Mr. Nickelson retired from JM Jones/Super Value as a truck driver.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
