Wm. Edward (Ed) Logan 94 of Urbana died at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Jerry Nichols will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Craw Cemetery, Sadorus.

Mr. Logan was born on August 4, 1916 in Illinois, the son of Ray and Lulu Denton Logan. He married Iva Moore, Beverly Logan and Lorraine Sally Logan.

Survivors include three sons; Philip Logan of Homer, Edward Logan of Champaign and Dave Logan of California, two daughters; Rose Logan Vaughn of Carterville and Barbara Snyder of Ringgold, Georgia, sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Mr. Logan was a downtown Urbana merchant for many years having owned the Toy Mart. He also was a soda jerk for Pines Restaurant, salesman for Hefferman Tobacco, Tash Sales, and was a home delivery prescription drug driver for Osco Drugs.

He attended First Baptist Church, Sidell, member of Travelers, an officer with Modern Woodman, Urbana free Library Auxiliary Board Member, and President of Timber Hills Subdivision.

Mr. Logan enjoyed genealogy, gardening, flowering, farming, writing short stories of his life's experiences, advocating home health remedies, and believed in the healing power of vinegar. He also enjoyed garage sales and was a Lincoln Square Mall walker.
