SIDNEY, IL- William G. Gordon, 55, passed away at 1:10 P.M., Sunday, August 15, 2010 at his home in Sidney, IL.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. A memorial reception will be held from 5-8PM, Thursday evening (August 19) at the funeral home.

Bill (Billy) Gordon was born April 11, 1955 in Champaign to Glenn and Lorraine Gunn Gordon. Survivors include his three children, Jennie Krager (Tom) of Mahomet, IL, Janice Phree Popovich (Chris) of Mahomet, and Justin Gordon of Tolono.; four grandchildren, Kimberly and Brittney Krager, Cole Gordon Popovich and Kyle Popovich; his mother, Lorraine of Champaign, his brother, Robert Gordon (Jody) of Champaign, and a sister, Diane Gordon of Champaign.

Mr. Gordon graduated from Champaign Central High School and was owner and operator of GW Repair & Maintenance for over 30 years. When he wasn't working, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving father, brother and son and a doting grandfather.

Bill was an avid fisherman who took annual trips to Canada and Tennessee with his brother and fishing buddies. He also enjoyed drag races, motorcycle rides with his son, his daughters' cooking and cherry cheesecake. His favorite color was purple.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Swann Special Care Center in Champaign.
