William John Duncan, 53, of Champaign passed away at 6:55 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at his residence.

Memorial service at 1 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Philo Presbyterian Church, 105 East Jefferson St., Philo, IL. Reception to follow where family will receive condolences and share stories.

Bill was born on June 11, 1964 in Champaign to parents Robert E. and Carolyn Sue (Woodworth) Duncan. Sue preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Dillon Gallo, his father Robert Duncan and his siblings; Jane (Robert) Mumm of Sidney, Sally (Stuart Martin) Duncan of Urbana and Jerry (Tara) Duncan of Gilbert, AZ, Don (Cathy) Cole of Broken Arrow, OK, and special friend Miranda Gess of Champaign.

Bill graduated from Urbana High School and worked as a painter for New Life Painting. His passions included buying and selling vehicles, carpentry, drawing and landscaping. He was a very creative and giving person. Bill's life was surrounded with creativity. Art was a deep part of his nature.

Staying connected and helping others was very important to Bill. There are many that will miss his considerate offerings. There is a hole in the fabric of our family.
