William J. Donaldson, 81 of Urbana died Fri. July 6 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tues., July 10 at the Lindley House, 312 W. Green, Urbana. Arrangements are being handled by Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.

Mr. Donaldson was born in NY State, the son of Samuel and Edna Vogt Donaldson. He married Joyce Crump on Dec. 24, 1949 in Peoria. Survivors include his wife, daughters, Tama Dumlao and Talene Dodd both of San Diego, CA, and Terra Wilson of Charlotte, N.C, son, William T. Donaldson of Urbana, sister, Dorene Vogt of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., brother, Robert Vogt of Chicago and one grandchild.

Mr. Donaldson was a graduate of White Plains High School in NY and Bradley University. He was an artist and designer in the Peoria area for 20 years. He later was Head of Interior Design for the Dept. of Housing at the U of I. He was a member of Sigma Pi Epsilon served in the Navy Air Corp during World War II.
