William D. "Bill" Buracker, 90, of Urbana, died at 7:56 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 at home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana. Rev. Sam Stow will officiate.

Mr. Buracker was born in Virginia, IL on November 1, 1924, the son of William Eldon and Mildred (Leeper) Buracker. He married Lucille Colvin on March 2, 1946 in Springfield. She preceded him in death on July 18, 2012. He is survived by a son, Donald E. Buracker of Morton and a daughter, Sandra L. Allen of Urbana, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, a sister and granddaughter.

Mr. Buracker attended school in Springfield, served in the U. S. Army during WWII and, along with his wife, was owner/operator the The Optical Shoppe in downtown Urbana for 45 years. He was a member of Webber Street Christian Church, Urbana, the Kiwanis Club, Urbana Masonic Lodge #157 and Tolono Masonic Lodge #391.
