William "Billy" Michael Sanderson, 28 of Mahomet passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 in Mahomet.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mayview.

Billy was born in Urbana on September 24, 1989 to parents Loretta (Smith) Sanderson and Jon Sanderson.

He is survived by his parents Loretta Sanderson of Broadlands and Jon Sanderson Sr. (Jennifer) of Mahomet, his siblings; Crystal Cruz of Champaign, Jonathon Sanderson Jr. of Champaign, Miranda Sanderson of Champaign, Travis Kriticos of Fairmount, Abigail Sanderson of Mahomet, Kassi Cooper of Broadlands and Allison Sanderson of Mahomet. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

Billy was a graduate of Mahomet-Seymour High School and worked as a mechanic most of his life. Billy's greatest love was for his family and friends. He had a great passion for the outdoors and loved mudding in his Jeep, the dirtier the better. Billy measured up to be a remarkable man and that won't be forgotten. His heart was strong, his soul was pure and his spirit will live in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Champaign County Forest Preserve or to the Department of National Resources.
