Whitney Yvette Long, 32, of Champaign departed this life at 6:02 a.m. on January 26, 2017 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Urbana, Pastor Dan King Crede will officiate.

Whitney was born in Urbana on January 21, 1985 to parents Robert and Yvette (McClendon) Long. They survive. Also surviving is her son Ashton Robert Cary Long of Champaign, her brother Robert Bryan (Stacy) Long of Indianapolis, her nephew Brayden Long and her paternal grandparents.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Cary and Florence McClendon of Philadelphia and her uncle Ronald Long of Chicago.

Whitney was a graduate of Centennial High School and attended Purdue University. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and volunteered at Carrie Busey Elementary School.
